I have a disease

Seriously, something must be horribly wrong with me. Back in August I started planning a small party for John’s 27th birthday, just family and his closest friend, Joey. Part way through my planning of John’s party I realized how cool our neighborhood is for Trick or Treating, so I thought I’ll plan a Halloween party, well part way through that planning I was reminded of our son’s 3rd Birthday, which would be just 11 days after Halloween, so that one had to take precedence. I started planning his party. Welllll, life got busy and suddenly it was the last week of October and I had 3 parties in as many weeks only half planned. So with help from my wonderful mother in law and my amazing mommy, we pulled of a party for about 15 people to celebrate with John (even if he was really sick that day) his 27th birthday, I mean statistically American men only live to be 73 years old, we’ve only got 46 more birthdays to go, might as well party hard! Well then came Halloween, we got bales of hay, all the kids trick-or-treat buckets ready, all the ingredients for the nights meals purchased and then my folks dog, Bounder died. So that morning was spent with them. I got home by 11:30 and and worked like a mad woman to get everything together and thanks to (yet again), my amazing mom and amazing good friend Jenny we pulled off dinner and a fun night of Trick or Treating. So here I am 21 hours before nearly 45 people show up at my house (those of you who have been to my home are laughing right now thinking how in the WORLD will they fit that many people here…trust me I am with you) I just finished baking 60 cupcakes, next I will frost them, I bought a disgusting amount of hot dogs and chips, my mom will save the day (yet again) by making a salad and a bunch of deviled eggs and my mom in law will save the day as well (yet again!!) by bringing a unnatural amount of hot dog buns and a salad. As I sit here typing I realize I forgot to get pop. Greeeat! Here are some photos from today, I will post some after images on Sunday and we can see what it looks like to have waaaay to many amazing friends and family in our home! It’s wonderful chaos!! So all of that to say, I have a disease, I seem to think I can do much much more than I am actually capable of. Oh well, I love having people at our home, i am so glad to be a stay at home mommy of a 3 year old (WOW!, where’d time go!) So here are some photos of the kitchen, my poor kitchen-aid mixer (thanks mom Hardesty) with 4 boxes of cupcake mix in it, the cupcakes, the homemade icing and an insane number of hot dogs!
